Canadian Legislation
Although there are many violations present in a sweatshop, the majority of problems stem from the following 3 offenses:
1) Workplace harassment
2) Violation of the "Right to Know"
3) Lack of a Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC)
In addition, these offenses are NOT mutually exclusive. They influence each other serving to exacerbate the health and safety risks and hazards present in these sweatshop workplaces.
